Why hello there!
Today I want to share with you a few updates I've been doing to my living room.
My current end tables were too short next to the couch and I needed something different. My wonderful in laws had these in their garage and they no longer needed them so they passed them on to me. I wasn't overly fond of the brass but it didn't scare me from taking them! Theres nothing that paint cant fix!
With a new coat of "brushed silver" they look like brand new end tables!
Next comes the dramatic effect! I scored these awesome outdoor lanterns for FREE!!
They were super filthy and needed a cleaning, not to mention all the glass had to be removed so they could get a fresh coat of paint.
It was like a puzzle made of glass, metal and screws!
Here they are all washed and ready for paint.
You can actually see through the glass again!
I used a mug to keep my 1 million screws in one safe place.
Are you ready for the reveal??
Are ya.
Are ya?
OK!
The last item to be completed in this "One Wall Makeover" are these FREE lamps for the end tables. Here is their before:
I have them sprayed white already (not pictured), just waiting on the perfect shades to come my way. If your willing to wait and add items as you go, you will notice your decorating scheme will have more personality. Rather then a I-went-to-Walmart-and-grabbed-everything-in-my-accent-color makeover.
Ill update this post when my dream shades make their appearance.
Until next time
